Fine Fare Supermarkets
has become one of the most progressive voluntary groups in the Metro New York
Market. The Supermarkets started out in the 1970’s with only 10 stores but
quickly grew. The requirements were the stores had to be a full-fledged
supermarket with all departments, but more importantly they had to be
competitive. This meant the stores must carry one of the largest selections of
branded merchandise and be committed to servicing the needs of their community
through pricing and quality. In the
1980’s the group grew to more than 40 stores and currently we are more than 50
stores strong and still growing (entering PA in the last decade). Our store
square foot space expanded just as rapidly along with our technologies. In 1998
our first store implemented cash register scanning and within a few years, all
the stores had a scanning system. The original policy of competitive pricing,
quality and service still remain our stores number one commitment.
